Biomechanical Implants

From Cyber

Biomechanical implants are in implants made from organic matter in contrast to Mechanical Implants which are made with inorganic matters, there several techniques to make biomechanical implants, which range from crude like grafting to sophisticated like matter reprogramming.

Grafting

Technique where the subject has the implant attached or replaced with new body parts which which were artificially constructed using their own DNA as base to maximize compatibility.

Pros:

  • All aspects can be personalized within a reasonable limit
  • Can later be enhanced by Cas27
  • Can also be enhanced by some Mech implants

Cons:

  • Still has a small chance of rejection
  • It takes sometime to produce the implant

Coupling

Considered to be the half-way between grafting and Mech, the new organ or limb is artificially construct but doesn't need a DNA sample because it's not attached directly to the body, instead is connect to a socket that will. It's the most common of BioMech between amputees. It's considered inefficient for anything besides day to day usage, but since it's sloted it's compatible with some superior Mechanical implants.

Pros:

  • No chance of body rejection
  • Cheaper than the alternatives
  • Quick to Install

Cons:

  • Response time is slower than the alternatives, so it's not ideal for athletes
  • Due to its socket it's vulnerable to software attacks
  • Because it's pre-made you can choose choose between the available options

Cas27 Enhancers

A lengthy process in which the subject body is permanently altered to meet their desired specification, if they are within the realm of possibilities. The subject is put in a coma in the first stage of the process and is treated with CRISPR-Cas27 programmed with the specification of the new design which will in the course of a few days reconstruct their body. Some types of enhancements are simple enough that reach top efficiency soon after a short period of adaptation while others will take longer to finish the process and unlock their full potential, which could take up to a few months.
